A beautifully crafted Chinese tabletop shrine cabinet, likely made of Huali (rosewood). The piece features a tall, rectangular niche with an open front, designed to house a statue or sacred object. The top crest is intricately carved with a central lotus motif surrounded by scrolling leaves and vines. The interior side panels and the front stiles are also decorated with detailed, openwork carvings of lotus flowers and scrolling foliage.
