Csaba Markus- A prolific sculpture, painter, printmaker, and publisher, Csaba Markus used his passion for art history to simultaneously master historically important art techniques and culturally important art trends. Born in Budapest, Hungary in 1953, Csaba Markus frequented local museums during his childhood that inspired his love of art. As he grew older, he soon developed a fascination with the Abstract Expressionist movement and Avant Garde art. His teenage sculptures were even featured on international television. Soon after, he transitioned to a successful printmaker and etcher, a medium still recognized as Csaba Markus' forte. His printmaking work is extremely complex, often using two or three copper plates per etching, and he etches with the use of a graphic pencil. His prints, sculptures and original works hang in many of the world's most prestigious museums and exclusive public and private art collections where they are enjoyed by critics and collectors alike.
