The tissue box retains its original label reading “24K Gold Leaded Bevelled Glass” and “Made in Taiwan.”

The substantial 20.5-inch-tall wastebasket features clear glass panels accented with long vertical beveled glass strips and an especially striking arrangement of wide beveled and mirrored glass panels around the base. The coordinating tissue box cover echoes the design with clear glass sides and four substantial beveled glass panels framing the tissue opening. The numerous hand-assembled glass sections catch and refract the light beautifully, giving both pieces an almost jewel-like appearance.

A wonderful example of the glamorous decorative accessories popular during the 1980s Hollywood Regency revival, this matching set would be particularly beautiful in a sophisticated powder room, dressing room, primary bath or bedroom. The combination of clear beveled glass and warm gold complements gilt mirrors, brass fixtures, crystal and traditional or Grandmillennial interiors beautifully.

Finding the matching wastebasket and tissue cover together is an especially nice feature, and with the original 24K gold and Made in Taiwan label.
