The sculptor has rendered each lion's mane in extraordinarily deep, curling relief, with cascading locks that fall in dramatic waves around the face and shoulders, creating dynamic texture and movement across the stone surface. The lions' expressions are dignified and alert, with furrowed brows, pronounced muzzles, and forward-facing gazes that convey watchful strength. Their powerful haunches and thick, muscular legs are rendered with confident anatomical detail, tapering to broad paws planted firmly on rectangular plinth bases. The cement surface has weathered beautifully over time, developing a soft, chalky stone-like patina in warm grays and creams, with darker mineral staining pooling naturally within the deep carved recesses of the mane and facial features. One base bears an incised "ITALY" mark, confirming authentic origin. Minor surface chipping and wear consistent with outdoor exposure are visible throughout, but both lions remain structurally sound with no significant losses.

Flank an entrance gate, garden path, or grand staircase with this majestic pair, letting their heraldic symbolism and substantial scale make a bold architectural statement. They complement Italian, Traditional, Neoclassical, Mediterranean, and Garden/Outdoor interiors. To care for them, brush away loose debris with a stiff dry brush, avoid pressure washing that could erode surface detail, and consider a breathable stone sealer if continued outdoor exposure is planned. Measurements: each lion is 19.75 inches wide, 12.25 inches deep, and 28.75 inches high. Condition is good, with age-appropriate weathering, patina, and minor surface chipping; structurally sound throughout. Bring this majestic guardian pair to your entrance today. See less
