Victorian-era sofa and matching armchair featuring graceful carved wood frames, cabriole-style legs, and rich rose-colored floral upholstery.
The set was professionally reupholstered in January 2009 by The Excel Shop in Louisville, Kentucky. At that time, the shop also replaced cushioning as needed and addressed minor frame repairs. Both pieces remain structurally sound, with supportive seating and no sagging.
The upholstery has a subtle floral pattern that complements the dark carved wood detailing. The sofa features three removable, reversible seat cushions and an elegant exposed-wood crest along the back. The matching chair carries the same upholstery, carved wood trim, and period styling.
Both pieces are in very good antique condition. The upholstery is clean with no stains or tears, although there is some fading consistent with age and normal use.
