This elegant accent piece features two oval tiers boasting exceptional sunburst marquetry veneer work. The alternating grain of the exotic wood radiating from a central inlaid roundel creates a stunning visual depth and a captivating play of light. Each tier is securely wrapped in a chased brass or ormolu galley rim that beautifully defines its shapely silhouette. The upper tier is supported by graceful, swept wooden supports that seamlessly flow down to meet the larger lower shelf. The table is raised on slender, cabriole legs adorned with classic Louis XV style gilt bronze ormolu mounts at the knees and delicate sabot feet at the base. Perfectly proportioned, this versatile piece serves beautifully as a sophisticated side table, a distinctive nightstand, or a statement étagère for displaying small treasures in a living room, library, or entryway.
