Exceptional handcrafted bone-inlay console or dressing table by Aditya Handicrafts, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, dated 2021. The rectangular top, apron, drawers, legs and lower stretcher are extensively decorated with individually cut natural bone elements set into a dramatic black ground.
The top features an elaborate central floral and scrolling-vine composition enclosed within multiple geometric and foliate borders. Two drawers are centered by dimensional carved bone flower-form pulls, while the legs and stretcher continue the repeating leaf-and-flower decoration. Raised on four legs terminating in casters.
The remarkably dense decoration makes this a particularly decorative example of contemporary Rajasthan bone-inlay furniture. Suitable as an entry console, dressing table, writing table or statement accent piece.
the mirror is available in another listing, or can be purchased as a set.
