Mid-20th century hand-built terracotta lidded vessel attributed to the Lobi pottery tradition of Burkina Faso. The rounded form is covered in dense hand-worked geometric decoration and finished with a sculptural finial. Rich dark brown and earthen tones with a beautifully aged surface.
