The provocative composition depicts a model dramatically styled in black stockings, heels and an elongated black tie, photographed against a raw brick interior. The image was later reproduced in Newton’s monumental SUMO, originally published by Taschen in 1999.
This duotone photo engraving was produced by Taschen GmbH in 2019, twenty years after the original publication of SUMO. The 2019 date refers to the production of this engraving; the original Newton photograph dates to 1996.
Presented under glass with a wide black mat in a decorative giltwood frame. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity identifying Helmut Newton as photographer, Taschen GmbH as printmaker/engraver, and 2019 as the year of production.
