Crafted in Japan during the mid-20th century, this ceramic piece depicts a Mother carrying a child in a papoose on her back, resting behind a molded, leaf-textured catch basin.

The basin is finished in a high-gloss, soft white glaze with detailed leaf relief work. The figure features vibrant hand-painted cold-glaze accents in orange, blue, black, and yellow. Sized perfectly at 4.5 inches high, this small vessel is ideal for housing succulents, air plants, desk trinkets, or matches.

Condition: Good vintage condition consistent with age. Exhibits minor surface wear, soft fading to the hand-painted detailing, and subtle interior patina. Stamped "MADE IN JAPAN" on the underside of the base. No chips or major cracks present. See less
