This exquisite celadon-glazed porcelain figurine depicts the revered Bodhisattva Guanyin standing in serene grace upon a rocky, craggy base. The figure is finished in a luminous, pale off white glaze that pools softly in the deep folds of her flowing robes and elaborate drapery. She wears her hair in an ornate, high chignon secured with a floral ornament, and her serene countenance features downcast eyes that radiate a sense of profound tranquility. Held upright in her hands is a Zither adorned with subtle geometric key-fret borders. The hollow-cast base displays a textured, naturalistic rock formation with an opening underneath, revealing the fine craftsmanship and the warm biscuit-toned rim of the unglazed foot.
