The larger vase has a bold spherical form with a short narrow neck, while the smaller companion vase features a rounded body with twin side handles. Displayed together, they create a beautifully balanced and highly decorative composition.
Both pieces are finished in a dramatic deep oxblood, russet and red-brown glaze over a warm mustard-yellow ground, with flowing, irregular glaze movement that gives each piece a strong handmade character. The glossy finish and saturated palette give the pair a sophisticated mid-century French studio pottery aesthetic.
