Vintage Home is pleased to present this Porcelier Manufacturing Co. Vitreous porcelain Covered Sugar Bowl. This is the Pink Rose pattern that features a raised-relief flora spray. hand-painted with a pink rose in the center. This pattern was run at their original factory in Ohio in 1931 and then the smaller Tea Pots were produced in their new PA factory in the 1940s. We could not find records of a sugar bowl and have never seen one in this pattern until now. We also offer the rare 8 Cup Tea Pot, the rare Coffee Drip Purcolator, and two 6 cup Tea Pots in this pattern in our shop at the time of listing. Porcelier used porcelain to craft items that were finished in a glossy enamel to create a dense heavy china that was tougher and more durable. This is called Vitreous china. This pattern was produced as the last run at the East Liverpool, OH factory before operations were moved to Pennsylvania in 1931. The 6 cup Tea Pot was produced in later years in PA. We estimate this is from the 1940s but could be as old as the 1930s. The company closed in 1954.
