Vintage Home is pleased to present this 1931 Porcelier Manufacturing Co. Vitreous porcelain Large 8 Cup Tera Pot. This is the Pink Rose pattern that was the last production run in East Liverpool, OH factory before the company moved all operations to Pennsylvania. The large 8 cup Tea Pot and Coffee Purcolator in the Pink Rose pattern were only produced a partial year as the Ohio plant phased out of operations. These two items are considered rare because so few were produced. There is also a 6 cup Pink Rose Tea Pot which is not considered rare. At the time of listing we offered all of these pieces in our shop and a cover sugar bowl. Porcelier used porcelain to craft items that were finished in a glossy enamel to create a dense heavy china that was tougher and more durable. This is called Vitreous china. This Tea Pot has an embossed raised-relief flora spray that is hand-painted with a pink rose in the center.
