Vintage Home is pleased to present this 1931 Porcelier Manufacturing Co. Vitreous porcelain Hand Drip Coffee Purcolator. This is the Pink Rose pattern that was the last production run in East Liverpool, OH factory before the company moved all operations to Pennsylvania. The coffee Purcolator and the 8 cup Tea Pots in the Pink Rose pattern were only produced a partial year as the Ohio plant phased out of operations. These two items are considered rare because so few were produced. There is also a 6 cup Pink Rose Tea Pot which is not considered rare. At the time of listing we offered all of these pieces in our shop. Porcelier used porcelain to craft items that were finished in a glossy enamel to create a dense heavy china that was tougher and more durable. This is called Vitreous china. This coffee pot has an embossed raised-relief flora spray that is hand-painted with a pink rose in the center.
