With travolta enjoying a post 'pulp fiction' career resurgence and cage fresh from big blockbuster action flicks 'the rock' and 'con air,' the two stars were such hot property in 1997 that they were identified simply by their surnames on this striking and surprisingly stylish british advance poster, which featured by far the best poster design issued for this movie. Despite the absurd premise, the outrageous role-reversed performances - with travolta playing cage impersonating travolta and vice versa - were critically acclaimed, along with director john woo's spectacularly over the top action sequences. Although released in the uk on 7th november 1997, a cinema snipe along the bottom of this poster advertised a special advance preview on thursday 6th november.
