An exceptional collection of seven vintage Ward Bennett chairs for Brickel Associates, comprising three distinct Bennett designs unified by sculptural … Read more An exceptional collection of seven vintage Ward Bennett chairs for Brickel Associates, comprising three distinct Bennett designs unified by sculptural ash frames and complementary blue-green upholstery. Five out of the seven are a teal velvet, while the remaining two have teal flame stitch jacquard upholstery.

The collection includes three upholstered barrel-back chairs, two wraparound upholstered armchairs, and two striking round-back armchairs with floating circular backs. The latter are an especially uncommon Bennett form and feature beautifully sculpted exposed ash frames.

All seven chairs retain original Ward Bennett/Brickel Associates labels, firmly documenting their designer and manufacturer. Original factory tags also identify the wood as ash with Brickel’s “Sable Oil” finish. The chairs have been reupholstered at some point in coordinating fabrics.

Although representing three different Bennett designs, the shared materials, proportions, finish, and upholstery palette allow the seven chairs to work beautifully together as an eclectic dining or conference set. See less
