This is a vintage Victorian style faux bamboo stool attributed to Theodore Alexander newly upholstered in Ralph Lauren Home “Hunting Manor Paisley” fabric in the Sable colorway. The richly finished wood frame features bamboo-form legs, turned stretchers and decorative fretwork and cross-bracing. The stool has been professionally updated in this discontinued Ralph Lauren Italian cotton velvet featuring pheasants, scrolling paisley and foliage in warm shades of rust, gold, olive and brown.
The detailed faux-bamboo frame has a handsome traditional finish and works beautifully with the English country character of the Ralph Lauren textile. A substantial accent piece that can be used as an ottoman, occasional stool, vanity seat or extra seating.
