A vibrant signed and numbered limited-edition print by American wildlife artist Dan Goad, depicting three brilliantly colored blue macaws among tropical foliage.
Two macaws perch together on a branch while a third approaches with wings fully extended, creating a wonderful sense of movement across the composition. Turquoise and brilliant blue dominate the palette, accented by touches of cream, red and muted plum.
The work is pencil signed by Dan Goad at lower right and individually numbered 351/500 at lower left.
The presentation is particularly striking. The artwork is surrounded by layered cream, white and metallic-gold matting and housed in a substantial textured gold-tone frame. The frame has an unusual dimensional woven or basketry-inspired pattern that works beautifully with the tropical subject.
Dan Goad (b. 1952) is an American artist and naturalist known for colorful depictions of birds, wildlife and the natural world. Avian subjects have been a recurring part of his work throughout his career.
At approximately 24 × 22 inches framed, Macaws has enough presence to stand alone while remaining an easy size for a gallery wall. Its combination of tropical color and elaborate framing makes it particularly well suited to Palm Beach, coastal, maximalist and collected interiors.
