The impressive 57-inch circular table features a beautifully figured cherry or cherry-finished hardwood top, recently professionally refinished, above a deep carved apron embellished with a continuous band of flowers and scrolling foliage.

The extraordinary pedestal is the focal point: a massive central support lavishly hand carved with deeply modeled acanthus leaves and terminating in four monumental scrolling foliate feet. The quality and depth of the carving are particularly striking and give the table a sculptural presence from every direction.

The table measures 57 inches in diameter × 30 inches high, with approximately 25 inches of clearance beneath the apron, making it both a highly decorative piece and a practical dining or center table.

The table’s documented ( picture of table in front hallway of Wadswoth hall) association with Wadsworth Hall, a historic Lake Geneva residence dating to 1902, adds an important layer of local architectural and social-history provenance to an already desirable signed piece of Chicago furniture.
