This vintage pair of Royal Haeger ceramic horse head bookend planters features sculptural equestrian profiles, flowing relief manes, and a rich, glossy burgundy-red glaze.
Each piece combines a decorative horse head with an open-top vessel and a flat back, allowing the pair to serve as both bookends and decorative planters. Their sculptural forms and deep color make them distinctive examples of American mid-century decorative pottery.
One piece retains its original gold foil Royal Haeger label identifying Dundee, Illinois.
