A layered landscape built from soft blues, sage greens, and warm autumn rust, moving from a hazy, cloud-streaked sky down through distant mountains into a still, glassy lake. Tall trees frame both sides of the composition, one side lush and green, the other turning gold and copper, suggesting a seasonal shift caught mid-transition.
The brushwork is controlled and traditional, favoring atmosphere and depth over sharp detail, with light handled softly throughout to give the whole scene a quiet, contemplative mood.
A business card from Imperial Picture & Frame Shop, Ltd. of Virginia Beach, Virginia is adhered to the backing paper, likely from a past framing job. The artist’s signature is present in the bottom left corner of the piece.
