A striking pair of large-scale glazed ceramic garden planters presented on separate classical-style cast stone pedestal bases. Acquired from an estate in Miami, where the pair was displayed on a balcony overlooking Biscayne Bay.
Each substantial ceramic planter features a rich variegated olive-green glaze with organic blue-green and teal drips descending from the upper rim. The reactive nature of the glaze creates subtle differences between the two, giving each planter its own coloration while remaining beautifully matched as a pair. Interiors retain their warm terracotta coloring beneath the glazed upper rim.
The planters rest freely upon separate architectural pedestal bases constructed of cast stone or concrete. The bases feature a textured off-white finish, square plinth and molded profile, providing wonderful contrast against the deep glazed ceramic.
Four separate pieces in total: two ceramic planters and two pedestal bases.
