Designed by Joseph Mathieu and made in Pierre Benite in Lyon . This chair is an iconic part of Industrial French History. Each chair was hand pressed in huge industrial presses before being hand welded together. The chair is in its original classic Multipl’s green paint showing wear commensurate with its age. Multipl’s was, in its day the competitor to Tolix, although sadly Multipl’s did not survive. Examples of Multipl’s chairs in this condition are becoming increasingly rare, many that are available do not have the original paint and/or they have been badly restored. The chair retains it’s original wooden feet plugs and hardwood seat. Seat Height 45cm. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
