Beautiful vintage pair of limited-edition "La Dame à la Licorne" (The Lady and the Unicorn) fine porcelain collector plates.

They were made in Limoges, France by the famous makers Robert Haviland & C. Parlon.

Both plates come in their original factory boxes!

These stunning pieces are based on the famous medieval tapestries from around the year 1500.

They feature vibrant red backgrounds, rich blue tones, gorgeous 22k gold trim, and highly detailed artwork.
1978 Plate No. 2 - "Sight" (La Vue): Features the Lady holding a mirror for the unicorn. Comes with the original box.
1980 Plate No. 4 - "Smell" (L'Odorat): Features the Lady making a flower wreath with her pet monkey nearby. Comes with the original box.

Fully marked on the back with the official collection stamps and year.

Excellent vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. The colors are incredibly bright, and the gold trim is intact and shiny. The original boxes are included. They show some light wear from storage due to age, but they are structurally sound and have kept the plates perfectly safe. See less
