An iconic “Cleopatra” daybed designed by Dick Cordemeijer for Auping in the Netherlands in 1954, combining a minimal construction with characteristic mid-century materials.
The daybed features a slender black metal frame with sculptural wooden end rails and the characteristic Auping mesh construction. The combination of metal and wood creates a light, open structure with a clean linear appearance.
A generously proportioned mattress provides a comfortable surface for both sitting and lounging. Newly upholstered in white Rockx fabric with a rich texture, it creates a soft contrast with the matte black frame and warm wooden details.
