This exceptional piece represents the height of early 20th-century Chinese weaving, characterized by its luxurious wool pile and restrained color palette. It is a striking example of antique rugs that blend traditional motifs with Art Deco sensibilities, offering enduring quality and style.

The field is rendered in a sophisticated, slightly golden ivory color, providing a neutral yet warm backdrop for the stylized design. This subtle hue highlights the deep indigo blue used for the decorative elements, a classic pairing favored in the Peking tradition for its clarity and visual impact against the plush wool foundation.

The central design features meandering, stylized grapevines and foliage, creating a delicate, flowing composition. Unlike medallion formats, this piece utilizes an allover pattern where the motifs repeat gracefully across the entire length, ensuring visual continuity and elegance without relying on a central focal point.

Framed by a precise geometric border featuring the traditional Greek key pattern, this rug maintains structural integrity while offering visual interest. Its elongated dimensions make it ideally suited among hallway runner rugs, specifically measuring 2.08ft x 11.06ft, providing a rare opportunity to introduce sophisticated Chinese Art Deco design into transitional or high-traffic residential spaces.
