The dynamic scene captures a nobleman or prince on horseback in rich traditional attire, extending his hand toward a magnificent, multicolored Simurgh (the legendary mythical Persian bird, also known as the Huma bird) hovering overhead. Rendered in a stunning palette of cobalt blue, green, soft pink, and ochre against a mottled ground, this piece encapsulates the rich storytelling tradition of Persian art.
The reverse side shows mounting remnants, and the side profiles display the thick, authentic structure characteristic of period stonepaste ceramics.
