In rattan with a tortoise shell lacquer finish this chair's star power comes from two wonderfully cast eagle's heads in silvered metal that flank the shaped cane back splat of the chair. Additionally, the legs terminate in out swept sabot feet in silvered metal. The chair features a tufted attached seat and matching removable rectangular down pillow back upholstered in an off-white micro check pattern. The chair is exceedingly comfortable but most of all, we feel, the chair is best just to look at, as an art piece that will be the spotlight of any room. This chair was purchased new from Maitland Smith as a display piece for our high-end interior design furniture showroom and it remained as such until recently and so is in in excellent condition.
