Each lamp stands approximately 25 inches high, measured from the bottom of the base to the top rim of the glass. The octagonal oak base measures approximately 13½ inches across its widest point and 11½ inches front to back. The clear glass globe is approximately 12 inches across. The deeply textured finish and hand-worked metal supports give the pair a strong architectural presence.

Each hurricane incorporates a removable suspended candle platform designed to hold a pillar candle. Their generous height makes them particularly striking as a pair on a console, large dining table, mantel or in a substantial interior setting.

The original inventory tag identifies the model as “Jeunet Hurricane Lamp (large),” with oak, iron and glass construction, a Desert Black finish and hand-blown glass globe. The tag lists a price of $2,590 per lamp.
