The pieces feature wonderfully architectural tiered profiles, castellated rooks, carved horse-head knights and stylised bishops, giving the set considerable character and decorative presence. Complete with a full set of contrasting turned draughts, parquetry chessboard and wooden storage box. A particularly attractive complete games set for the chess collector, games room or library, combining classic English chess design with wonderfully tactile period craftsmanship.
