Large Danish storage unit from the 1960s, designed in the Scandinavian Modern aesthetic and crafted from teak and teak veneer.
A particularly interesting feature is the pull-out writing surface. When extended, it provides a practical workspace, allowing the piece to function as a secretary desk or compact home office. When closed, it retains the clean and lightweight appearance of a bookcase.
The lower section features a cabinet with a pair of sliding doors and four drawers with distinctive sculpted wooden handles. Above is an open shelving unit with three shelves, ideal for displaying books, ceramics, glassware or collectibles.
Slender tapered legs, the light construction of the upper section and the warm tone of the teak are characteristic of Danish furniture design of the 1960s.
Very good vintage condition, with minor signs of use consistent with age.
