Fine Regency Carved Mahogany Three-Tier Dumb Waiter with Dolphin Supports, Circa 1820
A particularly striking Regency mahogany three-tier dumb waiter or Jardinière stand, the graduated circular tiers raised upon a finely reeded and carved central column with elegant scrolling supports. The substantial tripod base is exceptionally well carved with three opposing dolphins amongst stylised foliate decoration. An unusual and highly decorative example of early 19th-century English cabinetmaking, retaining a rich colour and pleasingly aged surface. Condition wise we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, there may be some age and use related patina marks based on normal use and transport
