The vase is formed in rich translucent olive-green glass, graduating beautifully as the light passes through the substantial body.

Around the lower section, irregular opaque white glass inclusions create a distinctive mottled or spatter effect, becoming increasingly concentrated towards the heavy clear base.

The upper section is particularly sculptural, terminating in a large oval opening formed within the flowing glass. Viewed from different angles, the asymmetric profile and changing density of colour give the vase an organic quality.

At 38 cm high and weighing just over 2 kg, this is a substantial piece of decorative glass with considerable presence. It works beautifully as a standalone sculptural object but can also be used as a vase.

The handmade nature of the piece is evident in subtle variations and small air inclusions within the glass, characteristic of the manufacturing process. See less
