A distinctive Czechoslovak art glass bowl designed by Pavel Stejskal for the Škrdlovice glassworks in the 1960s.
The bowl is individually hand-shaped from substantial art glass and features a striking green internal decoration contrasting with the softly tinted transparent body. Its low, broad proportions and sculptural form create attractive optical effects as the colour and internal decoration change according to the viewing angle.
The combination of a clean organic silhouette, substantial glass construction and expressive green decoration reflects the character of Czechoslovak mid-century art glass produced at Škrdlovice during this period.
with a width of 20 × 20 cm and a height of 6 cm, the bowl has a substantial decorative presence despite its low profile.
