Two sailboats sit in the foreground, one with a white sail and red-hulled base, the other in dark navy, both reflected in the dark water below. Behind them, a cluster of abstracted waterfront buildings rises in white and black tones, rendered with jagged, architectural line work rather than realistic detail.

The sky is a deep charcoal grey, giving the whole composition a stormy, dramatic mood. A small cluster of red-toned marks appears near the upper section of the painting, adding a single warm accent against the otherwise black, white, and grey palette.

Signed by artists in the lower right corner, though the signature is not clearly legible. See less
