The design is based on the iconic 18th-century Les Portières des Dieux (Portals of the Gods) series, originally designed between 1699 and 1701 by the prominent French Baroque artist Claude Audran III for the Royal Gobelins Manufactory in Paris. Depicting the classic “Portique de Junon” allegorical scene, the artwork features a striking classical narrative framed by ornate architectural columns, rich floral garlands, and regal peacocks. In very good vintage condition, it offers incredible detail and depth, making it a standout anchor piece for any gallery wall or living area.
