Antique adjustable rattan and wicker chaise longue, dating from the early 20th century.
the piece features a finely woven herringbone pattern, contrasting dark and reddish cane details, broad woven armrests and numerous hand-wrapped bindings. The reclining back is adjustable through a wooden notched mechanism with brass crossbar, while the articulated footrest folds away independently.
a sculptural and highly decorative piece with a warm aged patina.
good antique condition with age-related wear, surface marks and traces of use. One small localized loss to the woven cane is clearly visible in the photographs. The structure remains stable and functional.
