The piece captivates with its freely formed fazzoletto silhouette (handkerchief or pleated design) and deeply curved, organic wave-like edges. The thick-walled glass displays a subtle aqua-green shimmer at the cut edges and refractions of light, characteristic of Scandinavian soda-lime glass.

\. Attribution & Craftsmanship:

Although the object is unmarked (as pieces from this era were usually only labeled with paper tags), the dense glass, the delicate greenish tint, and the finish of the base suggest an attribution to the traditional Danish glassworks Holmegaard (in the style of Per Lütken / Anja Kjær):

Excellence of Glass Art: At 48 cm tall and weighing over 4.6 kg, this is a rare, large-scale piece requiring the highest level of mastery of the glassblower's pipe.

Base Finish: The base is hand-ground flat and polished (lever-cut finish).

Domed Dome: The deeply inward-curving center of the base (dome) ensures perfect balance and stability despite its considerable weight.
