Large Napoleon III period sofa in ebonized wood and caning. This sofa features elegant decoration with gilt ornamentation and painted metal cabochons. The caning is in very good condition. The four legs end in casters. A large cushion, two rolls, and a small cushion enhance the aesthetics of this seat. On the back of the sofa is a label "Guerrico and Williams, Carlos Pellegrini," which corresponds to a former collection or provenance history of works of art listed by the National Gallery of Art.
