It commands attention in a room effortlessly; sculptural, warm, and magnetic, this large lamp from the 1960s-70s features a sublime glazed ceramic base with captivating lines. It's this totem-like, organic, and powerful profile that gives it its distinctive character. The two-tone glaze is superb: a deep, glossy reddish-brown, typical of the Fat Lava movement, flows gently into white, creating the "drip" effect characteristic of ceramics from that era. This lamp has a striking personality; it's a beautiful object for lovers of vintage ceramics and boldly Brutalist design.
The lamp is vintage, dating from the 1960s-70s, and is in superb condition. The lampshade is original and shows some signs of wear. The original wiring is fully functional.
30cm in diameter and 40cm in height for the base, 21 to 50cm in diameter and 21cm in height for the lampshade. 67cm total height.
