Large soup tureen, 1920s. Large and impressive soup tureen in the “Blue Fluted Plain” porcelain series, beautifully hand-painted in cobalt blue on a fluted body. Features prominent side handles, generous capacity, and a lid with a sculpted finial. A prestigious serving piece from the early 20th century. Origin: Denmark, Royal Copenhagen. Material: Porcelain. Dimensions: H. 22 cm, L. 28 cm. Period: 1920s. Condition: Very good condition with light signs of wear. Marked with the Royal Copenhagen stamp, cancelled with two incised lines. “Blue Fluted Plain” was introduced in 1775 and remains Royal Copenhagen’s most iconic pattern. Large serving pieces from early production, such as this soup tureen, are especially sought after for their craftsmanship, scale, and decorative impact. See less
