Each sculpture features an individually modeled body and face with dramatic gestures that convey introspection, vulnerability and emotion.

The surfaces are particularly compelling, with layers of cream, ivory, warm beige, brown and charcoal tones worked across heavily textured forms. Visible modeling marks and irregularities enhance the handmade character and give the sculptures an almost archaeological quality.

Although each figure works beautifully on its own, the three become especially powerful when displayed together as a sculptural grouping. Their varying heights, poses and silhouettes create a sophisticated gallery-like installation suitable for a console, pedestal, library, art-filled living room or contemporary interior. See less
