This remarkable antique chandelier originates from Italy and dates back to approximately 1890. Its tall, balanced silhouette draws inspiration from classic Empire-style lighting, combining an ornate brass structure with an intricate arrangement of original crystals.
Much of the historic crystal ornamentation remains intact. Long, hand-strung crystal chains form the slender upper section, leading down to the richly decorated central piece. At the base, a traditional crystal basket completes the chandelier's classic profile. The variety of historic cutting styles and crystal shapes creates a beautiful play of light.
A distinctive feature of this chandelier is the presence of nine original real candles. During restoration, a conscious decision was made not to remove them or replace them with additional electric sockets; they remain an integral part of the chandelier's history, preserving a visible link to its original character.
At the same time, the electrical wiring has been completely renewed. The chandelier now features six E14 sockets and one E27 socket, while retaining the nine traditional candles—thus harmoniously blending its historic appearance with modern electrical technology.
