Up for sale is a beautiful and highly collectible authentic piece of late 19th-century Victorian art glass: a Mount Washington Crown Milano tomato-shaped (lobed melon) shaker.
This piece features the iconic, creamy-yellow opaque satin glass body heavily decorated with hand-painted peach/salmon background shading and raised white enamel floral accents.

* Original Metal Lid: Unlike many Victorian shakers found today, this piece retains its original, correct period screw-on dome lid manufactured by Pairpoint. The lid features its beautiful, heavily textured pebbled pattern. The metal shows a deep, honest antique patina/oxidation, which we have left unpolished to preserve its vintage integrity.
* Strong Uranium Glow: The glass formula contains uranium oxide and fluoresces a brilliant, vibrant neon green under a UV blacklight (see photos).
* Glass Condition: The glass body is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, or hairline fractures. The threaded neck ring is securely attached to the glass.
* Paint Condition: The delicate, hand-painted exterior enamel decoration remains exceptionally crisp with minimal wear considering its 130+ year age.
