This piece is a stunning representation of traditional Himalayan craftsmanship, combining cast bronze, gilding, vibrant polychrome painting, and gemstone inlay.

Exquisite Details & Craftsmanship:

The Buddha: The figure is finely cast and richly gilded, seated in the traditional lotus position (Padmasana) with hands in the meditation mudra (Dhyana Mudra). The face is serene, and the robe is intricately decorated with engraved floral and geometric patterns. The hair is styled in traditional ushnisha coils and adorned with a crown of vibrant turquoise-colored stones.

The Base: The figure rests on a double-lotus base that is brightly painted in red and green, further embellished with rows of turquoise and red coral-colored inlays (or faux gemstones). The base features a deeply engraved border of repeating patterns.

The Bodhi Tree: A defining and rare feature of this piece is the elaborate bronze Bodhi Tree canopy arching over the Buddha. The trunk and branches are textured to resemble bark, and the leaves are beautifully painted with green, red, and gold details. A small, stylized bird is perched atop the highest branch, adding a charming naturalistic touch. See less
