Impressive oversized wall mirror by Harrison & Gil for Dauphine, featuring a richly carved architectural wood frame with distressed gilt and antiqued finishes.
The wide rectangular frame is decorated throughout with deeply carved floral and geometric motifs, punctuated by openwork gilded knot designs at the top, bottom and sides. A warm gold inner border surrounds a large beveled mirror plate, giving the piece additional depth and refinement.
The intentionally aged finish combines muted silvered-brown tones with gilt highlights, creating the layered appearance for which Harrison & Gil decorative mirrors are known.
At nearly six feet tall, this is a substantial statement piece suited to an entryway, living room, dining room, bedroom or above a large console.
Original Dauphine – Harrison & Gil label remains affixed to the reverse and identifies the model as No. 864-001G.
