Early 1900s; W.F. Dougherty & Sons - Philadelphia, PA
This stainless steel salesman sample cooling machine is something rarely seen. William F. Dougherty was born December 11, 1850, and worked with metal for most of his adult life, evolving from sheet metal tin smith to stove manufacturing. After he died in 1920, his company grew to become Dougherty's Kitchen Equipment and Supplies. The last picture is from the 1960s showing the building address from this salesman's sample.'s plaque.
