Mid-century coin-operated balloon vending machine featuring colorful Pop Art-style carnival graphics of Larry Harmon's Bozo the Clown. The yellow enameled-steel cabinet rests on a freestanding trapezoidal base decorated with additional Bozo "Big Top" imagery. Its upper cabinet incorporates two quarter-operated vending mechanisms offering different balloon assortments, along with an integrated hand pump and nozzle that allowed customers to inflate their purchases. The original graphics retain advertising text, circus imagery, operating instructions, and licensing information from Larry Harmon Pictures Corporation.
Founded by R. J. "Dick" Tennes, Vend-Rite Manufacturing introduced its first five-cent tissue vending machine in 1948 and subsequently produced vending equipment for numerous consumer products.
