The shaped top features a softly scalloped perimeter that emphasizes the dramatic figuring of the oak. Four substantial turned legs incorporate spiral barley-twist sections along with ring-turned and baluster details, creating a highly decorative profile.

Each leg terminates in a dark metal claw-form fitting gripping a pale glass ball caster, adding an especially distinctive period detail. A shaped lower shelf echoes the curves of the tabletop while providing additional visual structure and display space.

The combination of strongly figured oak, elaborate turning, scalloped edges, and glass ball casters gives this table considerable presence despite its versatile scale.

A handsome example of early 20th century decorative furniture, well suited for use as a parlor table, side table, lamp table, or occasional table in a traditional, eclectic, or collected interior.
